Making Safeguarding Personal

Making Safeguarding Personal is an approach to safeguarding that is outcome focused and engages with the person through the process to ensure they are empowered, involved in decision making as much as possible and their views and wishes inform what happens.

The Local Government Association and ADASS have produced a Making Safeguarding Personal Toolkit which includes lots of useful tools. 

 

Research in Practice have produced a series of podcasts ‘exploring and busting myths that can prevent practitioners from making safeguarding personal’ for people they support.
